Описание: Navantia has built the "Cantabria" a Auxiliary Oil and Replenishment Ship for the Spanish Navy, its design is based on the previous ship of this type, the "Patiño", but with a double hull in accordance with international regulations. This ship is capable of supplying liquid fuels (diesel and JP5), water and solids (food, ammunition and spare parts and supplies) to a combat group and it can serve as support for combined expeditions of the Army and the Navy. It also has important hospital facilities as well as a hangar for medium and heavy helicopters with the support workshops. The "Cantabria" has a high level of interoperability with other navies and it can be used in peacekeeping operations and disaster relief operations with the evacuation of civilians. It also has the means to collaborate in the fight against environmental pollution at sea
