The German luxury automaker, BMW has officially launched the updated version of X1 at the 2016 Indian Auto Expo with a price tag of Rs 29.9 Lac (Ex-showroom, New Delhi). Powering the car is a 2.0-litre diesel engine only, that delivers 190bhp of power with a peak torque of 400Nm. The driveline is further mated with an 8-speed automatic transmission, that sends the power to the rear wheels. A petrol engine might also be added sometime later this year. The next-gen X1 has acquired the design cues from X3 and comes with an all-new aggressive front look. The new X1 SUV now gets the bigger dimensions with improved wheelbase and updated LED headlamps as well as the LED taillamps. The SUV will lock its horns with Mercedes-Benz GLA and Audi Q3.
