Amid increasing frustration over lockdown measures to curb the coronavirus pandemic, multiple protests took place across Europe on May 16, 2020.
Thousands rallied in Germany against Covid-19 restrictions while 19 people were arrested in London’s Hyde Park after breaking social-distancing rules. Protesters in Spain banged pots and pans and called for the country’s prime minister to resign.
