Practical implications, and where the right to self-determination for Adults in an abusive relationship meets legal obligation. What Elder Abuse might look like, and how EMS can help. Andrea Lavine has a background in Hospital Social Work, with many years spent working in Women's and Children's Health. As a participant in the University of Maryland Hospital for Children's Child Protection Team, Andrea became keenly aware of the importance of the continuum of healthcare beginning with the in-home observation of first responders. This was further enhanced when Andrea became a Paramedic with the Pikesville Volunteer Fire Company.
