This conversation explores how digital violence shows up in our everyday online lives and how media plays a role in shaping how society understands gender-based violence.
We discuss forms of digital abuse such as online harassment, cyberstalking, image-based abuse, and harmful narratives about women online. We also examine how media representation can either normalise violence or help challenge it — through the stories that are told, amplified, or ignored.
Together, we reflect on the responsibility of media, content creators, and individuals in creating safer digital spaces, and what conscious storytelling and engagement can look like.
This session is about awareness, accountability, and understanding how our online environments influence real-world behaviour.
