Mangroves love shrimp, and this is the easiest way to rig up a shrimp so that it's nice and lively to get their attention (you can use fresh dead shrimp too). Use either a jighead or a weighted hook to get it down to the fish faster.
Just pinch the tail off, then thread the hook down through the body and out the back. Actively fish, instead of putting the rod in the rod holder, so you can feel the strikes and can set the hook.
