How to Create a Copyright Preset in Lightroom -In this Lightroom tutorial I'll show you how to make a copyright metadata preset that you can apply to your photos as you import them or add your copyright to any selected photos you already imported to the Library that don't have it.

This is a metadata preset which means your copyright will be embedded in the file properties data and it will not be printed on the front of your photos. If you want to have your copyright appear on top your photo, you need to create a watermark, which I will show you in another video.

To create your copyright preset, go to your import dialog and go to the Meta data section under the Apply During Import Panel. Click on New and a preset dialog will pop up. You will add your copyright information to the IPTC Copyright and Creator sections. You can edit it, rename it and delete your copyright at any time.

Applying the copyright metadata preset is easy. You can apply it as you import new photos by selecting your preset from the Metadata section on the Apply During Import panel of the import dialog. If you want to apply it to images you already imported, select them in the Library module and In the Metadata panel choose IPTC from the dropdown menu then select your preset.
