Just another day exploring the Charles River by foot. Nothing really biting today as the temperature dropped drastically. When it was 90+ degrees all the bass were hiding right next to shore under the overhanging trees.
Now they have all disappeared. The smallmouth are not close anymore because of the low water levels.
Usually in Fall all fish will go up to the shallows, but I think we are in the middle ground where they are hanging near deep drop offs so they can travel to the shallows and back to the deep as quickly as possible.
