Three (03) Proclaimed Offenders absconding since 2002 and 2012 respectively arrested by PO

In continuation of its hard-hitting drive against the absconding proclaimed offenders, PO team of IGIA Unit through its relentless efforts has succeeded in arresting 03 proclaimed offenders (POs) from Gujrat and Punjab within a week.
On 18.11.2022 PO team of IGI Unit comprising of SI Kamal, ASI Deendayal, and HC Banty Yadav arrested a Proclaimed Offender namely Ambalal Somabhai Patel S/o Lt. Sh. Somabhai Bapudass Patel R/o Vachali Sheri Ramji Mandir Pase Paliyad Gandhinagar, Gujrat, Age 53 Years from Gandhi Nagar, Gujrat. The accused/PO was declared absconder from Patiala House Court, New Delhi on 02.03.2002 in Case FIR No. 162/1998, U/s 419/420/468/471 IPC and 12 PP Act, Dated 02.04.1998, PS IGI Airport New Delhi and was absconding since then. Further on the same day the team also arrested Bharatbhai Prajapti Bhikabhai S/o Lt. Sh. Bhikabhai Natha Lal Prajapati R/o Vadiya Vistara Naridipur, Gandhinagar, Gujrat, Age 61 Years from Gandhi Nagar. The accused was declared Proclaimed Offender by Patiala House Court, New Delhi on 15.03.2012 in Case FIR No. 252/2011, U/s 420/468/471/120B IPC and 12 PP Act , Dated 28.05.2011, PS IGI Airport New Delhi.
Earlier, one wanted Proclaimed Offender namely Gurmeet Singh S/o Jagat Singh @Joga Singh R/o Village-Mahmadpur, PS- Bholath, Distt Kapurthala, Punjab who was declared proclaimed offender from the Hon’ble Dwarka Court vide order dated 30.06.2012 and was absconding since then was also arrested by the PO team comprising of Inspr. Ramvir Singh, ASI Deendayal and HC Hariom on 14.11.2022 .
The PO team of IGIA is committed in its drive against the proclaimed offenders and this year it has arrested 43 Proclaimed offenders till date. Further the team has also verified the antecedents of 44 proclaimed Offenders in 2022.
