In this video, you will learn how to calculate the maximum torque and power that can be transmitted by a given flat clutch and a given conical clutch. The maximum torque and power are transmitted at the point where the clutch plates are likely to slip over each other.
Both uniform pressure theory and uniform wear theory are used, as the power output is dependent on whether the clutch is new or worn.
