This time around I document my approach at a Wizkids Classic Carrion Crawler for Dungeons and Dragons using Vallejo paints. It was an ambitious and labor intensive undertaking but the results made me feel proud of my efforts.
I spent a lot of time configuring off-white tones in order to facilitate a convincing grub-like appearance and got to play around with varnish to employ various effects, such as a high-gloss eye. Those eyes took quite a while to layer between drying time. But they turned out looking fantastic.
