Orton-Gillingham is based upon the beginnings of the scientific understanding of reading development as well as the foundation of the term structured literacy. This session will explore the Orton-Gillingham approach and make reference to its connection to the International Dyslexia Association’s Structured Literacy framework. When we know how to work with dyslexia, we become knowledgeable about how to make our instruction more inclusive for everyone. Essential for some; beneficial for all.
