पुणे, महाराष्ट्र | पहलगाम आतंकी हमले में मारे गए संतोष जगदाले की पत्नी प्रगति जगदाले कहती हैं, "एक साल बीत गया है, लेकिन मैं अभी भी 22 अप्रैल 2025 के पहलगाम हमले में ही अटकी हुई हूँ... मुझे नहीं पता था कि वह अब इस दुनिया में नहीं रहे; मुझे लगा शायद वह बेहोश हो गए हैं, लेकिन अस्पताल ले जाने पर वह बच जाएँगे... हमारी सरकार ने हमारे दर्द को समझा और 'ऑपरेशन सिंदूर' चलाया... मैं सरकार से गुज़ारिश करना चाहूँगी कि वह यह सुनिश्चित करे कि ऐसी घटनाएँ दोबारा कभी न हों... इस घटना के बाद हमें बहुत कुछ झेलना पड़ा, लेकिन सरकार ने अपने सभी वादे पूरे किए... पहलगाम हमले से प्रभावित हुए 26 परिवार इस सदमे से कभी उबर नहीं पाएँगे... मुझे उम्मीद है कि वे ऐसी जगहों पर लोगों की सुरक्षा सुनिश्चित करने के लिए भारतीय सेना में और अधिक जवानों की भर्ती करेंगे, जिससे देश के बेरोज़गार युवाओं को रोज़गार भी मिलेगा..."

बालासोर, ओडिशा | पहलगाम आतंकी हमले में मारे गए प्रशांत कुमार सतपथी की पत्नी प्रियदर्शिनी आचार्य कहती हैं, "...मेरे पति पहलगाम आतंकी हमले में मारे गए थे। एक साल बीत गया है, फिर भी हर दिन मुझे उनकी याद दिलाता है... उनके गुज़रने के बाद सब कुछ पूरी तरह बदल गया है, जिसमें मेरी ज़िंदगी और मेरा नज़रिया भी शामिल है... सरकार ने उस समय एक सरकारी नौकरी, मेरे बच्चे की पढ़ाई के लिए आर्थिक मदद और वित्तीय सहायता देने का वादा किया था..."

Two deeply emotional testimonies from families affected by the tragic Pahalgam terror attack have come from Pune and Balasore, highlighting the long-lasting pain and struggles of victims’ families.

Pragati Jagdale, wife of late Santosh Jagdale, shared her heartbreaking memories of the attack. She said that even after a year, she is still mentally stuck on the day of the tragedy. She recalled how she initially believed her husband might survive, but later faced the devastating truth. She also mentioned government relief efforts, including Operation Sindoor, and urged stronger security measures to ensure such incidents never happen again. She further emphasized that the affected families continue to live with irreversible loss and called for increased recruitment in the armed forces for national safety and youth employment.

Similarly, Priyadarshini Acharya, wife of late Prasant Kumar Satpathy, expressed her emotional pain from Balasore. She said that her life has completely changed after the loss of her husband and that every day reminds her of the tragedy. She also recalled government assurances of support, including a government job, financial assistance, and help for her child’s education.

Both stories highlight the human cost of terrorism and the long-term challenges faced by families even after official relief measures are provided.
