With a hoverbike beneath me and conflict cracklin’ across the continent, I made my way through the snow-covered plains of Auraxis, dodging fire lines and alert fronts to reach a marked fishing spot on the map. The location? Just outside a contested zone—close enough to feel the shellshock, far enough to risk a cast.

I rigged my scanner with a fresh battery and attraction lures, but the lake proved too shallow, the water too cold for clean readings. Had to retreat to a nearby base and swap gear before tryin’ again. When I returned, I finally got the scanner hummin’ through the ice—and the fish were there, scattered and jumpy from the distant shelling. Just as I was gettin’ into a rhythm, a friendly tanker rolled by, honked his horn in salute, and let loose a volley on enemies nearby.

That, of course, brought enemy tanks stormin’ over the ridge. I tried to flee on my hoverbike… but got turned into scrap mid-escape. Respawned a short jog away, and I’ll be honest—I called it there. I got some readings, sure, but the war had claimed the lake by sunset.

Sometimes the fish bite. Sometimes the tanks do."

Had a bit of a rough time fishing on Planetside 2 but at least the attempt was fun!
