I'm back at the organ in the church in Obereisenhausen and today I would like to show you one of my favorite songs from our hymn book. "Lobe den Herrn, den allmächtigen König" is one of the most famous Christian hymns.
The text of the song "Lobe den Herrn, den allmächtigen König" or "Praise to the Lord, the Almighty" comes from Joachim Neander and the melody comes from Stralsund (1665) and Halle (1741).
In this video I play all five verses of this beautiful song with different registrations, leading up to tutti at the end of this mighty hymn!
