Описание: The ADF, an Islamic State-affiliated group in eastern DR Congo, lost some outside funding after US sanctions from late 2024. The Sentry (27 Oct 2026) says conflict gold is now its main source of money: civilians mine under coercion, and traders move gold via Butembo to refiners in Uganda. The Sentry estimates $1–1.6 million a year from one area alone (not its total income).
Not all gold from the region is ADF-linked.
