5 ideas to developing student's oral skills using Padlet. You can do this with the free tool and each activity is distinct and focuses on using Padlet in a different way. These are nicely personalised ideas and can be used in any language. Great for developing student's fluency.

If you are a language teacher and looking for ideas for speaking activities for your students in your classes then this video is for you. Russell will present some speaking ideas using a tool that is very well known in education called Padlet. These activities you can create for free they are all different and can be ideal for any language including English, Spanish, French, German etc. Russell will also show you how to maximise the use of the free Padlet by archiving your activities.
5 great ideas, how to use free Padlet to create speaking activities in any languages.
First idea is to get the students to upload a picture and adding audio recording talking about it connecting these two together. The students can upload their own picture which makes the exercise personalised as they can talk about their own experiences and ideas.
Next Russell will show you how you can use the map's features in Padlet to place a recording over a place that you know or have visited or would like to visit.
Third interesting format of activity is the idea of using Timeline where you can go on and add information about yourself or other people this could be about anything that happened in the past. This could be done in a written form as well as an audio. Timeline can also be edited at any point so you can add more content to it and make changes.
There is a limited number of free Padlets you can use, but you can always archive your Padelts to make a space and maximise the free space.
An introduction is the next great way to use a Padlet, where students can introduce themselves to the class and turn on the comments so the participants can add additional questions. This is a nice way to make a use of all of the content that your students produce.
Finally, you can use the free Padlet as a discussion board where students can post their ideas about a topic or answers to a question.
All of this activities are to practice the oral skills of a language using the free version of Padlet. Great way for the teachers to make the students collaborate with each other in the class and to practice the language speaking skills.
