Here is another really great cover version from our music collection. A Moment’s Pleasure is an acappella quintet who hailed from Philadelphia, PA. The group members were John Farrington, Herb Johnson, John Jones, Bill Keith and Bob Reilly.
The Group formed in 1982 and performed at many venues in the tri-state area including performances at the Casinos in Atlantic City, New Jersey! A Moment’s Pleasure group members sang with other groups such as The Cruisers, Omega 5 Maestros, The Re-Vels and Neighbor’s Complaint.
Group member Bill Keith was an original member of The Blend-Tones who recorded “SHE’S GONE/LIGHTS PLEASE” (Don-El #106) 1961. Bill has also written over 50 songs, 2 of which are on this great CD of 24 songs titled “Starlight Serenade”. Bill Keith was a radio DJ/programmer for Charlie Horner’s “R&B Show” on WXPN-FM in Philadelphia, PA for 8 years.
“DIAMONDS AND PEARLS” was originally recorded by The Paradons (Milestone #2003) 1960.
