DIY Colorful Flower Craft for Home Décor II Crafty Plus

In today’s video, I’ll show you how to make these vibrant, layered paper flowers that look absolutely gorgeous and are super easy to make. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned crafter, this DIY flower tutorial will add a burst of color to any room or project!

Materials Needed
• Colored craft paper (choose your favorite colors)
• Scissors
• Glue stick or hot glue gun
•
Step 1: Cut Petal Strips
1. Take a piece of colored craft paper .
2. Fold the paper in half horizontally, then cut small, evenly spaced slits along the open edge, stopping about 1 cm from the fold. These slits will form the petals.
3. Repeat this process for multiple strips, depending on how full you want the flower to be.

Step 2: Shape the Petals
1. Use your fingers or a thin tool to slightly curl the edges of each strip. This will give the petals a more natural look.
2. Do this with each strip to create a layered effect.

Step 3: Assemble the Flower Head
1. Start with one petal strip, add glue along the folded edge, and roll it tightly around itself.
2. Continue wrapping additional petal strips around the initial roll, adding glue to secure each layer.
3. Adjust and fluff out the petals as you go, making sure the flower head looks full and even.

Step 4: Make the Stem
1. Take a piece of floral wire or skewer and wrap it with green craft paper to form the stem. Secure with glue at the ends.
2. Attach the stem to the base of the flower head with glue, making sure it's firmly attached.

Step 5: Create the Leaves
1. Cut out leaf shapes from green craft paper.
2. Attach the leaves to the stem with a small dab of glue.

Step 6: Finishing Touches
1. Once your flower is assembled, adjust the petals to give the bloom a full, layered look.
2. Repeat the process with different colors to create a beautiful bouquet!
