As you walk up the steps to the entrance, take note of the six Corinthian columns that support the pedimented portico. These columns were crafted from Tuckahoe marble, the same material used in the construction of the iconic #New York Public #Library.

Once inside, you'll find yourself in the grandiose rotunda. The rotunda is adorned with impressive art, including four murals by German-American artist, Elmer E. Garnsey, and a Tiffany chandelier. The murals depict significant moments in American history, like the signing of the Declaration of Independence and the landing of Christopher Columbus.

As you move up the main staircase, stop and admire the stained glass skylight at the top. You can see beautiful, colorful panels that represent the Dutch and English founding of Brooklyn.

On the second floor, don't miss a chance to visit the ceremonial courtroom. This beautiful room features more of Elmer E. Garnsey's stunning murals, with depictions of famous Brooklynites relating to both law and liberty.

Finally, head up to the rooftop. Take in the beautiful views of the Brooklyn and Manhattan skylines as you stand under the iconic copper dome. The dome was added during a major renovation in the early 20th century and has since become a symbol of Brooklyn Borough Hall.
