I decided to try something new, sewing! I’ve always wanted to learn to sew but been kind of nervous and overwhelmed by the thought of it.
But this year with both of the girls getting older and a boy on the way I know that learning to sew needs to happen sooner than later. My daughter is a girly tomboy so her dresses end up in the mud and torn from climbing trees. I have no idea how to fix them and have been saving them for when I do finally learn. I even have a few shirts that have torn over time and can’t wait to fix those too.
My goal is to make my first quilt this year, I’ve always wanted to make one per kid, and then the same for when our kids have kids too!
I’m completely new so there might be some things I have “wrong” or not right but I’m just learning and excited to start!
I ended up going with an old Singer sewing machine instead of a new one since I’m just starting out and not sure if I will love the hobby enough to spend big bucks on a new one. I’m currently making that video now and will post it soon!
