Watching the custom paint pinstriping tool being used appeared to be easy to learn, which would make it great tool for a auto body shop and/or a DIY car enthusiast to use.

The pinstriping tool can be used with most striping paints, but One Shot is what they were using at SEMA and is probably the most common paint used by custom hand painted pinstrippers.

The pinstriping tool has different head widths available for different size of stripes. You can also purchase double wheel heads for double pinstripes.

To use this tool, you can use the adjustable lever, which acts as a guide on any edge to produce a straight stripe. If there in not an edge where you are painting the stripe, you can place a straight edge magnet and use that as your guide. You could also freehand stripes using this tool, but I'm sure this would take more skill and practice.
