What is oud wood? Oud is a resin produced by the Indonesian Agarwood tree when it is infected by fungus. The resin is an immune response that permeates the wood and creates a complex leathery/sour/woody/salty/ambery-smelling substance used in traditional Arab perfumes and eastern incenses. Oud is an increasingly popular ingredient in western-style fragrances.
What is attar? Attar is the Arabic word for fragrance, and is a traditional form of perfume made from distilled florals and resins.
