Himachal Red Alert! IMD Warns of Extremely Heavy Rain & Landslides | Weather Alert | India Today

Описание: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a Red Alert for parts of Himachal Pradesh as heavy to extremely heavy rainfall is expected from July 20 to July 23.

According to IMD Senior Scientist Sandeep Kumar Sharma:

Hamirpur recorded around 40 mm of rainfall in the last 24 hours.
Red Alert: Chamba, Kangra, Mandi, Sirmaur (July 20) and continues on July 21, including Kullu.
Orange Alert: Una, Hamirpur, Kullu, Solan.
Yellow Alert: Lahaul-Spiti, Kinnaur, Bilaspur.

The IMD has warned of rising river levels, flash floods, and landslides. People are advised to stay away from rivers and streams, avoid unnecessary travel, and follow official advisories.
