Chocolate Cake Recipe | With Ganache & Chocolate Whipped Cream
In this video, I show how to make a soft and moist chocolate cake using simple ingredients.
The cake is layered with milk-chocolate ganache and finished with chocolate whipped cream.
Cake Ingredients
• Oil – 1/3 cup (55 g / 80 ml)
• Curd / Yogurt – 1/3 cup (80 g)
• Sugar – 1/2 cup + 2 tbsp (120 g)
• All-purpose flour – 1 cup (150 g)
• Cocoa powder – 1/4 cup (20 g)
• Baking powder – 1 tsp
• Baking soda – 1/4 tsp
• Salt – 1 pinch
• Milk – 1/2 cup (100 ml)
• Vanilla extract – 1 tsp
Chocolate Whipped Cream
• Heavy whipping cream – 2 cups
• Cocoa powder – 1/4 cup (heaping)
• Powdered sugar – 1/3 cup
• Vanilla extract – 1 tsp
Whip everything together until light and fluffy.
Chocolate Ganache
• Milk chocolate chips – 1 cup
• Heavy cream – 1/2 cup
Microwave the chocolate and cream in intervals and mix until smooth.
Method (Brief)
Mix dry and wet ingredients separately, combine gently, and bake.
Once cooled, level and divide the cake.
Layer with sugar syrup, whipped cream, and ganache.
Finish the sides first, chill, then complete the icing.
Decorate with ganache borders, whipped-cream detailing, and white chocolate garnish.
