Описание:
DETERMINATION OF THE EFFECTIVE MASS OF THE HELICAL SPRING.
Sources of Error
1. Parallax Error
When reading the position of the pointer on the meter rule, if the eye is not at level with the pointer, an incorrect reading may be recorded.
2. Non-elastic Deformation
If the spring is stretched beyond its elastic limit, it may undergo permanent deformation, affecting the accuracy of the results.
Precautions
1. Avoid Overloading the Spring:
Add weights gradually and ensure they do not exceed the elastic limit of the spring to maintain Hooke's Law behavior.
2. Read the Scale at Eye Level:
Always take measurements of the spring’s extension directly in front of the scale to minimize parallax error.
