The white Florida woman who killed a black mother did not testify on her behalf during her murder trial.
Susan Lorincz told the court she would not take the stand before her defense team rested their case.
An all-white jury heard three days of testimony about the events that led Lorincz to fatally shoot Ajike "AJ" Owens on June 2, 2023, through a locked metal door.
The mother of four approached Lorincz's home to ask why she had thrown a pair of roller skates at her children.
The jury heard closing arguments on Friday and now the case is in the hands of the jury.
On Thursday, Civil Rights Attorney, Ben Crump spoke with Roland Martin about this tragic case.
