The filmmakers of the new major motion picture TRU LOVED invited GLSEN to attend this event, and they in turn invited "Grey's Anatomy" star T.R. Knight to speak to the students at Miguel Contreras Learning Complex's School of Social Justice, where this BREAKING THE SILENCE event took place.
Over 900 students at this high school participated in the Day of Silence, in honor of Lawrence King, the 14 year old 8th grader who was murdered because of his sexual identity.
