The defense chiefs of South Korea and Slovakia signed an MOU to lay the groundwork for bilateral cooperation.
According to a defense ministry press release, Lee Jong-sup and Jaroslav Nad agreed to expand the partnership to include non-traditional areas such as cyber-security and climate change.
Another MOU on defense logistics and industry could be finalized at a later date.
The visiting official promised to support denuclearization efforts.
The ministers agreed Russia's invasion of Ukraine is a clear violation of international law and exchanged ideas on ways to help Ukraine recover its territory and sovereignty.
