In this video I am using 8 ply acrylic yarn, Four Seasons Marvel from Spotlight and a 3mm hook.

Recommended equipment:
8 ply yarn
3mm hook (test to see if you need to size up or down)
yarn needle
Scissors

Hooks:
My hooks are Tulip Etimo Rose, and I absolutely love them. I went through a process of testing about 5 brands of hooks by buying my most common sizes (3.5mm and 4.5mm). I trialled each until I settled on Tulips.

While I love them, I do suggest doing the same before buying a full set of hooks, no matter how many people swear by a particular brand or model as I tried the most commonly recommended and ended up gifting them to a friend who did like the feel.
