After getting stuck near Shinkula Pass due to heavy snowfall in the previous leg of our journey, we had to drop our plan of reaching Padum and instead explored the beautiful Baralacha La before returning to Jispa.

Now, it's time to continue the journey!

In Episode 3 of our Ladakh road trip, we begin from Jispa and head towards Padum via the spectacular Shinkula Pass, located at an altitude of approximately 16,580 feet.

This stretch is not just about breathtaking landscapes. It is also about experiencing one of the most exciting road routes in the Himalayas – the Nimo–Padum–Darcha (NPD) Road.

On this journey, we cross the mighty Shinkula Pass, witness the magnificent Gonbo Rangjon (the sacred Mountain of God), and finally enter the beautiful Zanskar Valley.
