Hello everyone, welcome to the Engthink Channel!
In today’s video, we’ll study how this generic electric vehicle display works. This type of display is often used for e-bikes and electric vehicles, and serves only as an indicator — it doesn’t control the motor or send commands to the controller.
I’ll explain the main features, connections, and functions step by step.
You’ll learn how to:
Connect and power up the display
Understand the 6-pin connector and voltage selector (48V / 60V)
Read the speed, distance, and battery voltage indicators
Use the headlight, turn left, and turn right signal inputs
Simulate the speed signal by adjusting input voltage
See how the display automatically calculates distance traveled
We’ll also test the voltage response using a power supply and see how the speed value changes with different voltages — from 20V up to 30V — reaching up to 55 km/h on the screen.
This display is a low-cost and simple option for anyone building or repairing an electric vehicle or e-bike who just needs basic information like speed and battery level. It’s one of the most affordable models available (I got mine on AliExpress), and since there’s no manual or documentation, this video should help you understand how to use it properly.
If you enjoyed this tutorial, please give it a thumbs up, subscribe, and turn on notifications for more videos about electric vehicles, e-bike displays, and DIY electronics projects.
Wiring Connections is:
Red: VCC
Black: GND (negative of the power supply)
Blue: Turn Left
Green: Turn Right
White: Head Light
Yellow: Speed indication
