🎹 The Star-Spangled Banner National Anthem (Piano) - 9/11 Tribute III

I was subbing at Killybrooke Elementary for Elementary Music on this day in 2023 and played this before school started. This is my personal piano rendition of our National Anthem in tribute to September 11th - a date that changed this country (& the world).

22 years ago today was the dark day the changed America (and altered the course of the world). And I had to interpret everything in the mind of a 6-year-old. Being in 1st grade at the time, I never wanted to be on a plane again; I couldn't help but imagine the fear and terror of entrapment it must've felt for any passenger in such a predicament. In the years to follow, the Wars in Afghanistan and Iraq were constantly in the news, on commercials, and mentioned at my elementary school.
