Why must we stand in unwavering solidarity with Israel?

Firstly, because Israel defends itself against one of the most insidious forms of terrorism. We must remember the lesson of October 7, 2023.

Israel is, secondly, the sole democratic nation in that region, a sanctuary where gays and political dissidents can find safety. The only viable solution for peace is a one-state solution, with Palestinians becoming part of a greater Israel. A two-state solution is no longer feasible after October 7; such a plan would severely compromise the security of Jews in Israel.

And thirdly, because Palestinian Arabs should not be allowed to complete the evil that Hitler started: the extermination of the Jews, God forbid, in the Middle East.

Douglas Murray stands as one of the finest and most compelling defenders of Israel's right to exist and the rights of Jews worldwide to live free from murder and assault. His keen analysis sheds light on the current ideological battle against antisemitism, the insidious pro-Hamas sentiment, expressed by ignorant students searching for a cause, and the ongoing public relations war waged by Palestinian Arabs against Israel — a campaign that has seen relative success over recent decades.

This is why we must all support Israel, even as we mourn the many civilian lives lost in this conflict. Consider this: if Hamas truly cared for its people, why do they hide in hospitals? Why do they deprive their population of medical assistance? Why use them as human shields? Why not lay down arms, bring the terrorists of October 7 to justice, and begin restoration? They surely have lost this war, and as a responsible government, they should accept this predictable defeat. (But they are not a government, only a terrorist group seeking the destruction of Israel.) Now their only concern should be the safety of the population, but it's not - the only thing they care about is their own survival. Palestinian victims are a major part of the Public Relations war, directed at severing the ties between Israel and the West.

Let us not forget that Hamas lacks support from Gaza's population. They are not just terrorists against Israel; they hold their own people in a grip of terror.
