U2 - Pop Muzik-Mofo-I Will Follow (Studio Live)

Описание: In anticipation of the start of the Joshua Tree 2017 tour, here's the fourth of a few. U2 is renowned for doing special treatments to songs for live performances, always a surprise and a high point of their shows.

I've fallen in love with several of these renditions, and thus have attempted to recreate them using various elements of their studio recordings.

This is the fourth of many. The Pop album was rife with trouble and the band has expressed dissatisfaction with the final album often, going so far as to issue revised versions of 5 of the songs, and drastically retooling several for the live shows.

One that was greatly retooled live (and I think to great effect) was Mofo. The album version was strong but the live rendition really notched things up.

So this edit is based on that live performance, specifically using the Popmart Live From Mexico City show as a reference. It uses:

*Pop Muzik (Pop Mart Mix) from the Last Night On Earth single
*Mofo - heavily re-edited to mimic the live elements (including, sadly, elimination of the final verse which Bono took to scatting over the top of the outro music)
*I Will Follow - used a Phase filter over the top of it to emulate the tweaked sound Edge got live - of course this applies it to the entire song, but still I think it gets a good effect.
