in the fall of 2018 I came across by chance these two great looking and sounding Caterpillar 830 MB Scraper Tractors belonging to contractor Emonds uit Boekel in the south of the Netherlands. This company still operates 3 of these machines, along of some other rare equipment, like a fleet of 5 Schluter tractors.
Great to see these machines still working hard as of today. But i'm told it is difficult to find people to operate them as they not very comfortable to drive.
The 830MB's were built from 1962 to the early 1970's exclusive for the US Army. These two specific machines were used by the army in West Germany till the late 80's.
