Restauro Trapezi Posteriori Fiat 600 126 500 850 Epoca

Premetto che la Sabbiatura consente di ottenere un risultato migliore ma ovviamente in termini economici è un lavoro notevolmente costoso.
Innanzitutto ho provveduto allo smontaggio del trapezio completo, quindi rimosso l'ammortizzatore e la molla, ed estratto i due perni che lo collegano all'auto. Dopodiché ho rimosso ogni singola parte che lo compone ( Ganasce, Tamburo, Cilindretto freno, mozzo, giunto, leva freno a mano, porta ganasce).
I trapezi sono stati trattati con acido bifasico e benzina, infine sono stati lavati con l'idropulitrice ad alta pressione per rimuovere le ultime tracce di fango presenti su di essi.
Una volta asciugati sono stati trattati con un Primer Spray grigio della Radex per creare uno strato isolante e aggrappante, ed infine verniciati con del Nero Opaco. Lo stesso procedimento è stato svolto per i porta ganasce.
Finito tutto ho provveduto al rimontaggio delle singole parti accuratamente pulite e spazzolate per rimuovere ogni traccia di ruggine, ho colto l'occasione per sostituire le parti logorate come i cilindretti dei freni, aggiornati con quelli di una fiat 850. Nella maggior parte dei casi occorre sostituire le boccole presenti alle estremità dei bracci oscillanti, quindi è indispensabile l'utilizzo di una pressa. Il lavoro è stato svolto su una Fiat 600 d'epoca, ovviamente lo stesso procedimento è valido anche per restaurare la ciclistica delle altre fiat d'epoca, come 500 , 126, 850 e così via...

In this video you will see how to restore the rear trapezes of a vintage Fiat, without the use of specific tools and without spending a fortune. I state that sandblasting allows to obtain a better result but obviously in economic terms it is a remarkably expensive job.
First of all I proceeded to disassemble the complete trapezoid, then removed the shock absorber and the spring, and extracted the two pins that connect it to the car. Then I removed every single part that composes it (Jaws, Drum, Brake cylinder, hub, joint, handbrake lever, shoe holder).
The trapezoids were treated with biphasic acid and gasoline, and finally washed with a high-pressure cleaner to remove the last traces of mud on them.
Once dried, they were treated with a gray Radex Primer Spray to create an insulating and gripping layer, and finally painted with Matt Black. The same procedure was carried out for the jaw holders.
When everything was finished, I proceeded to reassemble the individual parts carefully cleaned and brushed to remove all traces of rust, I took the opportunity to replace the worn parts such as the brake cylinders, updated with those of a fiat 850. In most cases it is necessary replace the bushings present at the ends of the oscillating arms, therefore it is essential to use a press. The work was carried out on a vintage Fiat 600, obviously the same procedure is also valid for restoring the chassis of the other vintage fiat, such as 500, 126, 850 and so on ...
