El centro de Guadalajara 4K Walking Tour

The Historic Center of Guadalajara is a neighborhood in the capital of the state of Jalisco. The city was founded there on February 14, 1542, and the first church was built there. It borders the Santuario and El Retiro neighborhoods to the north; the La Perla, Sagrado Corazón, San Juan de Dios, and Analco neighborhoods to the east; Mexicaltzingo to the south; and the Americana Oriente and Capilla de Jesús neighborhoods to the west. It is an important tourist, educational, and commercial center.
Public transportation serves all areas of the city. The neighborhood is primarily served by the Guadalajara Centro station of the Guadalajara Urban Electric Train. The Macro Calzada on Calzada Independencia, the neighborhood's eastern border, also connects the neighborhood to other parts of the city.
