The Object Manager ( OM ) :
The OM will help you build complex Textures for your Object that has multiple Materials assigned to it.
Both the Houdini and Solaris context can be used with the OM.
OM will automatically add Texture Files inside their corresponding Texture Nodes to build all the Materials
that are allocated within an Object.
The OM will also build the Houdini or Solaris Nodes depending on your Program Mode Selection.
When RenderMan is used, the OM will automatically build the corresponding ACEScg file.
So the OM supports Objects with multiple Materials, not single materials like MegaScans and FAB.
The conditions for matching the correct Texture Files to the correspondingMaterials is set in the / SETTINGS / IMAGE SETTINGS / Tab.
For this to work the Material Name MUST BE in the Texture Files, the OM will look for each Texture File with the Material Name+ the assigned Suffix.
For example if an Object has the next Materials assigned:
Panel_R
Panel_L
Then the OM will look for the following Texture Files:
Panel_R_AO.png
Panel_R_BaseColor.png
Panel_R_Metallic.png
Panel_R_Specular.png
Etc...
Panel_L_AO.png
Panel_L_BaseColor.png
Panel_L_Metallic.png
Panel_L_Specular.png
Etc...
The next Material Types are supported:
Octane
RenderMan / PxrSurface
RedShift
Mtlx
USD-Preview
You can Add, Save, Delete and BackUp Presets for later use, the Presets will be stored in the same Path where the OM HDA is installed.
To open the path to the Preset you can press the LOCATE PRESET button.
So the Presets are always available whenever you start a new project or use a new OM.
