Preneice’s Story of Getting Into Nursing School

Описание: For Preneice, the process of getting into nursing school took persistence and passion. It began when she was very young and had her first experience of caring for an elderly family member. She discovered qualities that make a good nurse in herself when she found herself eventually caring for her grandfather with Alzheimer’s.
That’s when her passion for nurturing continued to develop.
“I think that that nurturing and caring actually kicked in at that young of an age,” she says.
When someone suggested to Preneice that she apply to a nursing program, she was not quite sure. She had applied and been denied three times in the past, but she was unhappy with her school situation. So she decided to give it one more shot, and this time, she was accepted. Preneice learned a valuable lesson that when applying to nursing school: “Persistence will be the key.”
It’s not too late to live your dreams of becoming a nurse at Marquette University. Sometimes the best and most important things take persistence and taking a chance. Nursing school admission can feel intimidating, but it is more than worth the risk.
Preneice encourages aspiring nurses “to live your dreams and your wishes do what they love now.”
