In early October I travelled to Luxembourg to hike the amazing Mullerthal Trail, all 112 km of it! I took my best friend Martin along, and a rain jacket as the weather forecast wasn't sunny and warm.

Route 3 of the Mullerthal Trail is a wonderful mix of water bodies, forests and castles. It takes you along the popular Schiessentümpel waterfall and the small Kaltuffquelle, a wee pond with brown trouts swimming in them. Through beautiful beech forests you reach Larochette, from where you hike onwards to another town with a caste: Beaufort! The trail back to Müllerthal is a highlight, with many small waterfalls and beautiful scenery!
