According to the group's statement, its elite Majeed Brigade carried out the "fidayee" operation after breaching the camp before launching the assault. Pakistani authorities have not officially confirmed the casualty figures, and the claims remain independently unverified.

The attack comes amid heightened militant violence in Balochistan, where separatist groups have long targeted military installations, infrastructure projects and state institutions while demanding greater autonomy and greater control over the province's natural resources.
