The Cosworth DFV echoes at the Nürburgring with 21 historic Formula 1 cars!

Описание: Formula 1's past has always been characterised by iconic engines and unforgettable sounds. There were V10s, V12s, the era of turbocharged monsters, 1.5-liter engineering gems with 8, 12 or 16 cylinders in the post-war period. But in the midst of all this, one engine reigned supreme for almost 20 years, achieving 155 wins and becoming a F1 legend due to its reliability and design. The Cosworth DFV. In terms of sound it may not be as melodic and harmonious as the ones mentioned above, but I assure you, hearing 21 of these engines accelerate together is a goosebump-inducing experience, not to mention the various nuances that the different exhaust designs generate.

Nowadays it's still possible to witness this spectacle thanks to Masters Historic Racing and their Masters Racing Legends championship. Known previously as 'FIA Masters Historic Formula One Championship', the series is open to 3-litre F1 cars from 1966 to 1985 (a period that primarily included cars powered by Cosworth DFVs), seriously battling on track again for the victory. Of course entrants are divided into classes based on the racing period. What you see in this video is about the Nürburgring round of the 2026 season held during the Oldtimer GP weekend, with a total of 21 Formula One cars.
