Harrow on the Hill is a historic village in the borough of Harrow. The name refers to the large local hill of 408 feet.
It’s 21 Degrees Celsius .The atmosphere is calm, there’s a light refreshing breeze in the air.
Join me on this afternoon, slow paced walk into Harrows fairytale like, picturesque charming village.
Here you’ll see delightful historic architecture, a plethora of leafy, quiet village streets and beautiful open spaces which can feel as though they are a world away from the hustle and bustle of central London.

Harrow School for boys (plenty of well-known figures have attended Harrow School over the years. Singer James Blunt, poet Lord Byron and actor Benedict Cumberbatch were all educated at Harrow School, as was pianist James Rhodes and former British Prime minister Winston Churchill)

The Kings Head Hotel Gantry Harrow - is a sign hung from a horizontal beam commemorating the local Pub.
The Gantry was placed on the green by the Harrow Hill Trust in 2013 .The sign replaced an old 1980s gantry, although a gantry has stood on the same spot for centuries.The gantry sign denotes the Kings Head Inn which once stood on the site opposite since ancient times.The new structure was designed to be more faithful to the original gantry sign.Many subsequent signs have stood on the green since at least 1535.
