Tesla started public FSD test drives in January 2026.
This video has few clips from my test drive. There was some roadwork with an excavator blocking the road. Tesla handled it quite OK, although it's worth noting that oncoming traffic had to wait for us to pass. Still probably something that most human drivers would have handled the same way.
I had looked up a random address on a really narrow street from Google Streetview and gave that as navigation destination. Tesla waited nicely for the red car to pass before entering the narrow road. And to my surprise it actually drove into the yard of the house.
Overall very positive experience. The safety driver (Tesla employee) didn't have to touch the wheel or pedals during the 45minute drive.
