Breaking into a taut line is a useful skill to have when dealing with ropes. Whether it is a crevasse rescue or someone messed something up royally at the local climbing spot, it is useful to be able to break into a line that is under significant load. We will be using the hardware I have on my kit, but this can be accomplished using just about any of the following devices:
1 rope grab
1 progress capture
1-2 pulleys
2-3 carabiners
1 accessory cord or foot loop
