PORT ID.NET - FTL Extreme: Port identification System
This short video will demonstrate the eight timer functions available to be used with the FTL Extreme RJ-45 Diagnostic cable.
The FTL Extreme System consists of a dual port RJ-45 housing. This is used in concert with the LED enabled RJ45 connectors or cables that come in the following colors: Red, Green, Blue. The FTL Extreme uses a eight function battery pack to energize the ethernet line and cycle through the eight timer functions.
When the FTL Extreme System is used in the field it can quickly identify a port on a patch panel. This is especially useful when the network drop (port) is in another location from the patch panel.
The FTL Extreme System is a supplement to using a traditional toner probe to identify a switch port that makes no noise but gives clear visual indication as to the correct location and port jack.
