Lodz, once a small village, became a textile manufacturing hub during the industrial revolution. Now, the old industrial district of Księży Młyn has been transformed into a cultural and commercial space. The district, built in 1825 by Karol Scheibler, was designed to house mill workers, and it remains a charming area to explore.
The Manifaktura, built in 1872 by Izrael Poznański, was once a fully self-sufficient textile complex. Today, it has been turned into a large shopping, leisure, and entertainment hub.
