Subject: Request for Bonus Marks due to out-of-syllabus question and misprint in Class 10 & 12 English Question Paper (Paper Code 02)

Respected Sir/Madam,

I am a student of Rajasthan Board. I would like to inform you that there were mistakes in the English Question Papers of Class 10 and Class 12, due to which many students got confused and lost marks unfairly. The details are as follows:

Class 10 – English

Paper Code: 02

Exam Date: 12-02-2026

Question No.: 8 (2 Marks)

Question:
Combine the following sentences using the words given in brackets:
(i) Mitali is hard-working. Mitali is intelligent. (Use “not only … but also”)
(ii) Anil is a rich person. Anil is unhappy. (Use “but”)

Problem:
According to the prescribed syllabus, students prepared Clauses (Complex Sentences), but this question was from Compound Sentence (Synthesis / Combine Sentence). Due to this out-of-pattern question, many students became confused and could not answer correctly.

Class 12 – English

Paper Code: 02

Question No.: 8 (a) (1 Mark)

Question:
He took a paper. He wrote a letter. (Use Infinite)

Problem:
The correct word should be “Infinitive”, but it was wrongly printed as “Infinite.” Due to this misprint, many students misunderstood the question and wrote incorrect answers.

Therefore, I humbly request the Board to:

Give Bonus Marks (2 Marks) for Class 10 Question No. 8 to all students.

Give Bonus Marks (1 Mark) for Class 12 Question No. 8 (a) to all students.

Do justice to students and consider this objection seriously.
