Being a 90's kid the name Linkin Park was always a part of my music library, and like most, I was a fan of their ballads and strong lyrics. Needless to say Chester Bennington is one of my favourite vocalists of all time, and I am not just talking about his contributions as a Linkin Park frontman. Time passed by and as I grew up with their music, it became my hearted desire to watch him live singing my favourite songs.
But then, 2017 happened and he left us, shattering me as a fan. Not just was I a devotee to his music but moreover an admirer of the bright and charming personality he had. His music uplifted me when life threw me in endless abyss and the fact that no matter how much money I have or accessible I become I can never be a live witness to his performance, is something I have to live with.
One More Light definitely is a masterpiece close to my heart and has been my musical blanket everytime I needed a pick-me-up. Being the last song he ever recordeeld, here is my rendition of it on his birthday. We miss you Chester, hope this reaches out to you no matter where you are.
